Medium garnet with a big brioche flabby nose pulling a little green rainy-day spice and not much else. Not sure what sort of fruit take-away I’m supposed to react to, it’s all somewhat of a dull boiled vegetal balsamic obesity.
In the mouth, candied plum spice again rules the roost, watery fruit on Zinfandel heroin gives way to hot, dry tannin mid-way.
For a $15 bottle of wine, I’m not really complaining, it’s just…..
