Gorgeous little Cab Franc found on a list today with roast artichoke, egg rolls and flatiron and lobster risotto and duck @oxandanchorslo … I hadn’t heard of it before, but the SCM intrigued me. Tons of tomato-vine and wet burlap, fresh hardwood sawdust, and a chubbiness of fruit defying its 12.5…
An absolute pleasure to drink. You never know what you’re going to get from an unknown producer with this variety, but when I saw the soft shouldered bottle come out I started to get excited. And sure enough: it was straight Loire. A beautiful wine–start to finish.
