This Little Piggy Went to Market

Light garnet with a golden edge. Big vegetal crisper nose, roiled in earthy goodness and the plaster of the Old World. Dark, rich fruit: cherry and apricot and deep red plum fill the fruit-quotient nicely, and the whole thing is still and pleasant and ripely sweet.

“Delicious” is the only way to describe it in the mouth. Bristling with acid, it piquantly presses its fruity nuances carefully into each pore: nothing out-of-place, nothing except its overt insistence on expressing jam-packed beauty thinly and evenly onto the palate. See now, this is *wine of the people*, and if you could get this into the hands of wine-bar patrons and on restaurant lists in America, the all-knowing wine-gods would smile. It’s absolutely perfect table-wine: the perfect amount of geeky grime and spritely structure–the perfect amount of juicy, unassuming froth to woo the masses. Corvina can do this in THIS: its purest form, un-encumbered with dehydration or oak or ridiculous maceration which is the classical claim to fame. It is starting to pop up here and there, and the more you ask for it, the sooner it will happen.
