Golden ruby, with bright clean funk and minty pine needles. Gentle smoky oak. Roasted meat, blackened and coated au poivre and coriander, pink on the inside. In the mouth, everything translates perfectly with the added element of salty juices dripping on dusty earth. Who doesn’t love Barbera and this is a warm, earthy, full-and-round version of the peppery favorite. Cardella Winery just gets better and better with each variety I try.
