Crossing The Jordan

Brilliant clear ruby, staining edges. You see this one coming from across the room, you KNOW you will like everything about it based on face value, but you can’t wait to unfold the individual characteristics and vintage-isms.  Jordan’s been doing this forever and are pretty much the poster-child for Alexander Valley and have I ever told you how much I love Alexander Valley cabs?!?  Green briar, gunpowder tea and walnut shells make sure you don’t get too comfortable, but all the cinnamon and sweet banana-peel woos you toward the supple berry, nectarine and blood orange fruit. Volumptous nectarine puts this one comfortably in gracious and cheerful; popular, but not easy. Not over-wraught, but nowhere NEAR flabby.  Classic Alexander Valley Cab wonderfulness. I’ve had a lot of Jordans and this one is definitely a bit more approachable than some but all over it is full-on classic Alexander Valley Cabernet from a nearly PERFECT classic producer. You can’t NOT like this wine!
