Luscious aromatics of wilted lily and sweat power through dusty summer days of ball-fields and worn benches. Hi-altitude viscosity and melon-rind bite carry the wine so incredibly over the palate, the sweet fruit actually surprises you in the finish, but IT’S NOT DONE YET! Zesty and green from first sniff til 5 minutes after last swallow, it tingles the edges of the tongue with its vanilla-anise acidity and manages a full round mouthfeel in spite of all the sharp bite. THIS boys & girls, THIS is a Malvasia Bianca TOUR DE FORCE. Hell, it’s a WHITE WINE tour de force. I taste quite a bit of this variety, and never blog about it. But this. This is just a stupidly-good white. I actually feel bad for all the whites I have said are good in the past 6 mos. I am nearly speechless how good it is and I would trot this out in a myriad of tastings of lean CA whites with great success. I guarantee it.
