Deep mercury garnet, but I would stop short of calling in bricking. Crazily closed-in, a strong multi-vitamin the only bouquet showing upon first pour. With a heavy decant and 30 minutes of air, pretty cranberry and plum is coaxed out, laid out atop cherry cough-syrup and dusty petrichor tiredness.
Thin and un-slutty in the mouth, no fruit-bomb here, clean and simple with ridiculous acidity and lights-out tannin dominating everything. Savory-sweet, with lavender and coffee something to look for underneath the bright cherry. A fabulous food-wine, able to hold up to the full range of Italian menu items it was servicing.
