Mommy Dearest

This is a really delicious pinot. Delicious. That’s the word I’m gonna use. Murky red-pink with an even murkier black core, a friendly nose of rich ripe fruit and definite Pinot definitions. Distilled-water vague with thin floral and plentiful polishing touches of lustful vanilla and smoky influences along Edna Valley lines of un-restrained deliciousness.

Rich and thick in the mouth, charismatic dankness playing second-fiddle to dense black cherry thinning out agreeably with suitable acid. Blood orange and lily carve the finish with juicy aplomb to a meager–but delicious–end. This wine reminds me of Carneros in the 80’s and 90’s. This is the Edna Valley we were introduced to and have all come to love for its safe agree-ability and only a few wineries are rising above these textbook, delicious wines to produce Pinots with geekier edges. I could sell END-CAPS of this stuff.
